Where can I get an ADHD assessment for adults in the UK?

In the UK, adults can access ADHD assessments through the NHS (often starting with a GP referral, with waiting times varying by area), through private psychiatrists and psychologists, and through specialist clinics. UK Inkind offers private adult ADHD assessments conducted by experienced clinical psychologists, following gold-standard NICE guidance, available online and in person. You can book via our online booking system or reach out through the Contact page.

How do I find a reputable psychology clinic in the UK?

A reputable UK psychology clinic should employ HCPC-registered clinical psychologists (or other appropriately regulated professionals), explain qualifications and fees clearly, use evidence-based therapies suited to your needs, and offer transparent complaints and privacy information. Check registration on the HCPC register, read independent reviews with care, and ensure any assessments or therapy match NICE or professional guidance where relevant. UK Inkind is a national psychology clinic working to these standards; you can read about our team on the Clinical Team page and our services on the Services page.

Where can I find the best online therapy?

There is no single "best" online therapy for everyone — the right choice depends on your goals, the type of therapy (for example CBT, EMDR, or trauma-focused work), whether you need a clinical psychologist or another professional, and practical factors like cost and insurance. Look for practitioners on an accredited UK register (such as HCPC-registered clinical psychologists), secure video platforms, and clear information about fees and confidentiality. UK Inkind offers online therapy delivered by doctoral-level clinical psychologists across a range of models; see Private Therapy and Our Services for more.

What are the options for free or low-cost therapy services in the UK?

In the UK, free or lower-cost options can include NHS Talking Therapies (England) and equivalent services in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, often via GP referral; university counselling; some workplace employee assistance programmes; and voluntary-sector organisations. Waiting times and eligibility vary. UK Inkind also runs a social enterprise model: a portion of private fees helps fund limited free or subsidised psychological therapy for people who cannot access timely care — see the Be Involved page and contact us for funded-session availability.

Can I access psychological assessments online in the UK?

Yes. Many UK providers now offer psychological assessments remotely using secure video and validated tools, where clinically appropriate and following professional standards. UK Inkind provides online ADHD and autism assessments and related psychological services, with clear reporting and recommendations. Online suitability is assessed on a case-by-case basis; visit our ADHD & Autism Assessments page or contact us to discuss your situation.

Are there online therapy services available for anxiety in the UK?

Yes. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek help, and many UK services — including NHS Talking Therapies and private providers — offer CBT and other therapies online. UK Inkind provides online therapy for anxiety, panic, social anxiety, OCD, and related difficulties with HCPC-registered clinical psychologists using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, CFT, and EMDR where indicated. You can book a consultation via our booking link on the Services or Private Therapy pages.
